Why choose dog behavior experts
Sophie & Emre?
Unique approach
Our approach is entirely based on dog psychology and body language.
We work in a natural manner, which means we are not dependent on specific tools or treats.
Free aftercare
After a consultation or program, we provide free aftercare through Whatsapp.
Here, you can ask all your questions, submit videos for observation, and much more.
No dogtrainers
In addition to being dog behavior experts, we are also experts by experience. That's why we understand what it's like to be in your shoes.
However, there is so much more possible than we humans often think!
No nonsense
The reason behind our success stories is our method. No nonsense. We want to assist you as effectively as possible with information and tactics tailored to your specific situation.
Personal coaching
No single consultation or program is the same. Every individual and dog is unique, and thus, the approach is too. We guide you through everything, during and after a consultation or program.
In short, we are much more than just dog behavior experts!
Our mission:
As dog behavior experts, we guide both dogs and people to find balance with each other and to understand each other's needs. This, in turn, fosters a deeper connection and brings a lot of joy to your companionship.
Our method is different from what you probably know: we don't believe in punishments, getting angry, yet we don't overwhelm dogs with treats either. Many dog trainers or behavior specialists often operate with these two extremes, unlike us. Hence, our name: The Dog's Balance.
We aim to reach as many people as possible with our method, which is why we provide our behavior consultations throughout the Netherlands.
With the goal of putting an end to the dreadful biting incidents, overcrowded shelters, and ultimately, unnecessary stress for dogs and their owners.
Sound familiar?
"How do others manage this? How is it possible that their dog walks so calmly?"
You drive away from Albert Heijn, and you see a woman and her Golden Retriever. The dog looks at her, wags its tail, and walks on a loose leash. The whole scene exudes relaxation, and you can even see the trust. You witness the connection that the human and the dog have here.
When you return home and take your dog for a walk, do you feel a connection? No, you don't. Relaxation? Absolutely not. Your dog pulls on the leash and is preoccupied with everything around except you. Because hey, there's another dog in the distance, and your dog drags you towards it.
Back home, your dog sits nicely, gets a treat, and you feel on top of the world again. But then your dog goes 'ON.' As soon as someone walks by, your dog barks loudly at the window. And the DHL delivery person? They must be enthusiastically announced.
You start feeling guilty, both towards yourself and your dog. You don't understand each other. You know deep down what you're doing wrong, and you listen to all the well-intentioned advice. You genuinely think you can't do it.
Sounds familiar? We have one sentence for you: 'Don't give up.' We offer exactly what you need.
